GSP-SCIENCE DAY

Our planet Earth is one that is known to have a great variety of flora and fauna, something that our entire planet is proud of. But unfortunately, now, due to human greed and exploitation, the beauty of our Earth is depleting every minute. Trees are being felled, land is being cleared, animals are being killed and what not! Bio diversity is on the decline.

And so, the students of the Middle School thought that this is the best time to spread awareness on the importance of conserving our green cover and the studs that lie embedded in it! This was what the GSP-SCIENCE DAY programme was all about.

The paper presented by the students from standard six to eleven and supported by documentary evidence brought alive the issue of depleting bio diversity and the need for its conservation. They gave us an insight to various species of plants and animals, some popular ones and some beautiful types which we have probably not seen before. They told us about how animals, ranging from the huge cats to the meek insects and hapless birds play a huge role in our ecosystem. Bees, birds, tigers and some rare variants of plants took center stage during the whole project. What made the project even more interesting and unique was the use of the electronic media that made us all understand the entire topic even better. Students were left speechless by the information and the visuals provided. Inspiring thoughts and videos really made them aware of how seriously endangered the world is. The small quiz on the topic at the end of the project helped in etching whatever took place in our minds for a long time to come.

We, the students of PSBB have indeed woken up at the right time and taken up the initiative to do our bit for our earth.what about you?
