Twin-fold success
When an individual`s success story becomes synonymous with the genesis and growth of an institution and when both attain national and international fame , the twin-fold success stories become historic, they become etched in the annals of history for generations to emulate.
One such individual is Smt.Rajalakshmi Parthasarathy popularly known as Mrs. YGP (Padmashree Dr. (Smt.) Y.G.Parthasarathy) and the institution she built brick by brick is Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan (PSBB) which is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education.
A legend in Education, an art Connoisseur, a visionary in Progressive Practices of schooling, and was the Cultural Wing of the PSBB Schools to promote art & culture.
A Path-finder in Pedagogy
Dr. (Mrs.) YGP was a pioneer in the field of pedagogy. She believed in continuous and comprehensive evaluation, and introduced internal assessment for all classes and cycle-tests for classes 3 to 8. She also created a system that focused on the multiple intelligences of the learners, which allowed for the holistic development of students. Her foresight in establishing labs for Math, English, and Social Science three decades ago is a testament to her vision as an educator.
Among the unique programmes implemented in PSBB the most rewarding is the each one Teach one.
Professional Excellence
Dr. (Mrs.) YGP believed in sharing her pedagogic expertise. She was the mentor for various educational institutions. She believed in AIR (Accountability, Integrity and Responsibility) that should permeate in every PSBBian. She had been a pioneer in providing International dimension to education.
